Babies and Coffee!

Hello friends and family!
Babies and coffee!! Does that make everyone of you want to come to Taiwan?:) We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the goodness of God in every season that He has you in. Everything here in Taiwan is going great! It's only about a month away until our little baby Hannah Grace will be here. We hope you enjoy looking at all the pictures. Hannah Grace is famous even before she is born! As you can see Allison's tummy is getting bigger; and it's even bigger now. We just recently went to the doctor and things are moving along perfectly, praise God! She now weighs 4.4 lbs! We have started to put together her room in our apt. The first thing we did was paint the walls. The walls here are all white, with all tile floors. We thought it would be great to have a little bit of color so we painted Hannah Grace's walls. It looks great. Today we are moving her stuff in, and washing her clothes, it's crazy to think she will be here so soon!
We also want to share what God has been doing at the Coffee Bar. Collin is able to teach an English class at the "Rock" coffee bar on Thursday nights for one hour. He chooses a topic and then he and his students discuss, in English, that topic. This has been a great opportunity to allow the students to be faced with some very serious issues that are important to life. It also provides an opportunity for Collin to freely talk about why he believes "this or that" according to God's word. Allison goes to the Rock on Friday nights. On Friday nights there are about only 6 or 7 staff that come. This means that sometimes one staff person could be talking to 10 students at one time! The students love to come and practice their English. Allison is building relationships with a lot of the students she talks to. Every week some of the same students come back and talk to her. Her pregnant belly gets a lot of attention! The coffee bar is a place that YWAM has started, to draw in students and Taiwanese who want to practice English. So many students come because it is a requirement for them to know English at school. This is such a great way to share the gospel and build relationships with the Taiwanese.
Just recently a friend of Collin's believed in Jesus! Two years ago when Collin was in Taiwan doing his SBS, he was studying next to a guy and his girlfriend at the university. These two students were Taiwanese. Collin was studying the bible at that time and Alan, the Taiwanese student, introduced himself and asked if what Collin was reading was the bible. Collin told him yes and he said he wanted one, he had never really read one before. The next day Collin gave him a bible and never saw him again. A couple of weeks ago Collin was walking into the Rock when someone stopped him. The student asked Collin if he remembered him. Collin kind of regonized the face but not really. The student said that his name was Alan! For the past year and a half since Collin met him, God had been really pursuing Alan. Alan said that since he had been reading the bible he felt that Jesus was really making His presence known to him. Now Alan for all of his life has been an idol worshipper, so this idea of a God who pursued and who was LIVING was new to him. God has placed people in his life over the past year who had told him about Jesus. Alan was telling Collin all of these things and how he didn't know what to do. He said, "I feel like I am seeing Jesus everywhere, what do I do??" After a week of wrestling through some questions, Alan on the side of the street said he wanted to give his life to Jesus and worship Him. Please pray for Alan with us. We know that this is so new to him, so please pray the God would give him a hunger for His word and for intimacy. Pray for Collin as well that God would give him wisdom as he meets with Alan.
Also Allison will be beginning her bible school(SBS) in 2 days!!! Wow we are so excited for what all God is going to do through His word in this next season. Please pray for grace and mercy as Allison begins this school. That's all for now! We miss you and love you all, God bless you!

  4. Collin and Allison,

Forgive me for not being in contact with you. This will not be the case from now on. It is wonderful to see you two through the blog. Continue to post! Seeing people who give it all up for the mission of God encourages other to do the same. You three are a testimony to God's wonderful movement towards His Creation--the GOSPEL! As God sent Jesus Christ, so He sent the Seitz'.

Vandi and I are praying for you bothin the following ways... 1) health for all three of you, but especially baby Hannah. [3 Jn 2] 2) Fruitful relationships at the coffee bar. [Romans 16] 3) Comprehension of the language. [1 Cor 9:19-20a, 23] 4) Peace from God while adjusting to a new culture. [Titus 1:4] 5) Boldness and clarity in communicating God's Word. [Col 4:5-6] 6) Continual growth in your already wonderful marriage (it was such an example to us!). [1 Peter 3:7] And 7) increased financial support. [Acts 4:34-35](Are you fully funded yet? If you don't feel comfortable answering that online, then let us know some other way.)

Vandi and I are perservering seminary. It is a difficult road, but has been extremely rewarding so far. We miss you so much. Even though we only had a short 6-7 months with you both, we both felt a deep intamacy with you. You truly are a special couple. Pray for us as we hash out plans for the future. Pray that God would burden our hearts for an appropriate place of service. Once again, we miss you so much.
